Getting Around
The events for the weekend are spread out across San Diego. Please anticipate Ubering to events. If you are renting a car, please be aware that parking in Gaslamp Quarter is very expensive. Parking at the hotel we have a room block at is $65/nightly. We recommend reserving a parking spot on SPOT Hero in advance, this is much more cost efficient.
Day Of
The wedding is at our house! We live in El Cajon, California- a little ways away from all the action. There is plenty of street parking available, however, for our neighbor's sake-we encourage Ubering or car pooling.
The ceremony & reception will both be held at the same location! Ceremony starts at 4:30pm, followed by the reception starting at 5:00pm!
The wedding will be outdoors. During October, it is typically hot in El Cajon during the day & cools down in the evening. If you would like to bring a coat, we will have a coat room.
What to Wear
The dress code is semi-formal. For the gentlemen, button downs and slacks. For the ladies, sun dresses, long dresses, semi-formal wear. Ladies, the backyard is concrete and astroturf so heels will be fine. I would steer clear of stilettos & stick with chunky heels, wedges or sandals.
For all of Rachyl's girlfriends, please wear a shade of Blue. We are not doing traditional bridal parties & Rachyl would like you to be her 'Something Blue'. This is a very loose request and any shade or blue or pattern with blue in it will do the trick! We will take a group photo.
Are Children Invited?
Yes, there will be children there. We have added children for our guests who are visiting from out of town so they do not have additional obstacles when trying to make the trip feasible. For our local guests, we ask that you use this as an excuse for a date night!
**If bringing children or grown men who act like children: please be advised that we do have an unfenced pool. Please keep an eye on your children and husbands.**
Do I get a plus one?
This will be indicated on your wedding invitation! If you have any questions, please reach out to either John or Rachyl.
Food & Drink
Dinner will be served at approximately 6:45pm . There will be vegan & vegetarian options.
There will be alcohol served. It will be an open bar, please bring some small bills to tip our incredible bartender! Drink responsibly or don't. Just don't throw up on the dance floor.
Do you have a wedding registry?
No, we do not have a registry. If you are inclined to give a gift, we kindly request a cash gift towards our honeymoon fund.
